Social Studies

Mission Statement

The Social Studies Curriculum of the South Windsor Public Schools will prepare students to live in the global community of the 21st century by challenging them to develop intellectual curiosity, decision making abilities and critical and creative thinking skills. This Social Studies Curriculum will motivate students to become active, responsible and open minded citizens. Students will acquire and apply knowledge in the following areas: behavioral sciences, cultural diversity and commonality, economics, geography, government and history.
