Kindergarten registrations for the 2015-2016 school year will be accepted from February 2 - May 1, 2015.
Welcome to South Windsor Public Schools! We are pleased to welcome you to South Windsor and hope you find all of the information and resources you need to make the enrollment process as smooth and efficient as possible.
Effective February 2, 2015, registration and residency verification for all students entering or transferring into South Windsor Public Schools will be processed by appointment through our Central Registration Office located at the South Windsor Board of Education, 1737 Main Street. Follow the steps listed below to begin the registration process, or call the registrar at (860) 291-1244 if you have questions.
All students entering or re-enrolling in South Windsor Public Schools are required to register with the
Central Registration Office. This includes Kindergarten registrations, as well as enrollment in any of our
specialized programs (including POP).
Beginning February 2, registrations will no longer be processed at school locations.
All school-age children who are residents of South Windsor must be registered with the South Windsor School system,
even if they are attending planning to enroll in or attend an out-of-town Magnet, Technical or Vo-Ag school. Follow steps 1-4 listed below.
How to Register ( Effective February 2, 2015 )
1. Complete the Pre-Enrollment Student Information Form here (complete a separate form for each child).
2. Call (860) 291-1244 to schedule an appointment. Appointments are generally offered between
8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.; evening appointments may be offered upon request.
3. Review the list of required age, residency and registration documents here. (These documents include
child's original birth certificate, parent's photo ID, residency documents and current Health Assessment/
4. Bring all documents listed on the registration summary to your appointment. Documents will be scanned
and returned to you; only original documents will be accepted.
5. After the appointment, complete the student enrollment record through Parent Portal, using the Access ID
and Access Password provided to you at registration. Additional information regarding Parent Portal is

If your child is already enrolled in South Windsor Public Schools and you have a change of address, please complete the
Change of Address Form and return to the school office; proof of residency must be provided.
If you are transferring schools as a result of the change in address, please contact the Central Registration Office.
