We look forward to welcoming your student to the South Windsor Public Schools. The registration process in South Windsor begins at the school (or schools) in which your child(ren) will be enrolled. You should contact the school directly with your registration questions.
It is important to note that registration for enrollment is contingent on proof of residency. In order to show proof of residency within the town of South Windsor, evidence of home ownership such as mortgage statement, a homeowner’s insurance bill, or a current rental lease agreement, and at least two (2) of the items listed below must be provided. The parent/guardian’s name and address must appear clearly on all documentation provided.
- A driver’s license and automobile registration will be accepted as one item. (A driver’s license alone is not acceptable as one form of proof of residency. A driver’s license with a sticker on the back with a hand-written address will not be accepted.); or
- A current electric bill; or
- A current phone bill; or
- A current gas/oil bill.
Guardians, relatives (other than parents) , or nonrelatives with whom children reside in the town of South Windsor will be required to complete an affidavit, which can be obtained from the school office. Additional forms may be required.
In some cases, claims of residency may be subject to police investigation. If a residency violation occurs after enrollment, the student will be disenrolled.
