Summer Reading
Imagine learning, practicing and perfecting your golf swing for ten months. Just as you were feeling quite competent you decided to take a two month vacation… NO golfing was allowed!
What do you suppose would happen to all those months of practice?
Transfer that to reading… Children practice their reading skills for 10 months. They get better and better every day. Then for two months they do not read or read very little…what happens?
Children lose their reading skills!
