Lectec Launch at South Windsor High School

On Thursday, September 25th, South Windsor High School (SWHS) proudly hosted alumnus and co-owner of Lectec, Luke St. Amand, to announce the addition of reusable, DIY electric skateboard kits that can be checked out by teachers through the library media center.
Thanks to a generous grant from the South Windsor Public Education Fund (SWPEF), the SWHS Library has purchased a full set of these kits. The set includes not only the skateboard kits themselves but also safety gear and a Career and Technical Education (CTE) curriculum designed to support teachers in bringing real-world STEM applications into their classrooms.
The addition of the Lectec kits marks an important step in expanding opportunities for students to engage in innovative, project-based learning that connects classroom concepts to practical applications.
South Windsor Public Schools is proud to continue fostering partnerships with alumni, community organizations, and educators to inspire the next generation of learners and innovators.
