Registration

South Windsor Public Schools processes school registration documents electronically, and by fax or mail, as follows:
      
STEP 1:

STEP 2: Once you have completed the Pre-Enrollment Form, please email, fax or mail the required Age, ID and Residency documents to our registrar.

After your documents have been received and reviewed, the registrar will confirm receipt and give you instructions for next steps. Please allow three (3) business days for processing.

All new students must provide a current State of Connecticut Health Assessment Record which reflects the child's health history and list of current immunizations to the school nurse before their first day of attendance in school.

  • Children between the ages of 5 and 18 are required to attend school. Children who reside in South Windsor and fall into any of the following categories are required to register with South Windsor Public Schools, regardless of whether they attend school in South Windsor: 

    • New students enrolling in South Windsor Public Schools for the first time
    • Incoming 2024-2025 Kindergarten students
    • Students re-enrolling or returning to South Windsor (e.g., from magnet school, out of state/country, etc.)
      (at a minimum, updated residency verification is required to be on file in the South Windsor Registration Office; other forms may also be required)
    • Students who live in South Windsor and are attending a magnet, technical or Vo-Ag school (residency verification is required to be on file in the South Windsor Registration Office)
    • Students age 7 who are receiving Home Instruction, or students age 5 or 6 not attending school due to an exemption (forms must be sent to the Assistant Superintendent's office, as noted)
    • Students accepted into the South Windsor Pre-School Outreach Program (POP/IPOP) (to learn more about eligibility for this program, click here)
