Student Insurance

The South Windsor Board of Education carries the required school district insurance; however, the district’s insurance coverage does not provide accidental or injury medical coverage for students if they are injured at school or at a school event, as that is the responsibility of the student’s parents and/or guardians.

This affordable insurance plan can be used to supplement to existing health plans to cover out-of-pocket expenses or as a standalone insurance plan. The South Windsor Board of Education approves the offering of student accident insurance, but it does not act as agent, administrator, nor arbitrator should a dispute or claim arise. The plan does not cover Interscholastic Sports as the Board of Education provides this coverage separately.

If you wish to insure your child, please visit: www.bollingerschools.com All enrollment forms must be submitted electronically by the parent through the website.

This is an excess type program. The plan does not cover expenses payable under any other insurance or medical service plan available to the insured person. Claim forms are located in the high school and middle school offices, as well as at www.bollingerschools.com. As with student accident insurance, South Windsor Board of Education does not act as agent, administrator, nor arbitrator should a dispute or claim arise.
